Karakoram Cooperative Bank Limited Gilgit-Baltistan (formerly Northern Areas Provincial Cooperative Bank Ltd) was Established in 1956, under the Cooperative Societies Act, 1925. The Bank remained affiliated with the Federal Bank for Cooperatives from 1977 to 2002. KCBL is one of the most vibrant financial institution, with a net work of 50+ branches besides, 5 micro finance units across Gilgit-Baltistan. We take great pride in offering services even in the remote areas of Gilgit-Baltistan. Our fully computerized branches provide a pleasant, convenient and hassle free banking services every time. KCB is primarily, catering for agricultural and commercial credit needs of cooperative societies, traders, contractors and other business community belonging to the middle and lower middle class and these loans are basically aimed at uplifting the economic standard of the masses, especially the rural communities, thereby creating employment opportunities and boosting up commercial activities throughout the region . The bank has also expanded its scope of income generating activities to other small scale businesses including transport, fish farming, poultry, garments and other similar activities during the last few years.
